Battle of Corporate Minds: MEEPLECON's Ultimate Board Game Challenge

This event is being organized by IIT-IIM alumni as part of MEEPLECON - India’s first and only convention dedicated to board games focused on strategy, teamwork and fun!

For the first time ever, Corporates will get an opportunity to compete with each other in a range of different games for the title of CORPORATE BOARD GAMES CHAMP.

The championship will be conducted on Sunday, 8th December, 2024 at 11 am.
The venue is Dublin Square, Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, Mumbai
Any corporate can register and nominate teams to take part in the CBGC.
Each team will comprise between 3-4 team members.
There will be a charge of Rs. 8850 (incl. gst) per team.
Corporates can send multiple teams.
One person can only be a part of one team.
Format of the CBGC

There will 2 rounds - Elimination round and Finals. In each there will be 3 games: 1 strategy game in which 1 member of each team will participate, and 2 team games in which all members of the team will participate

The teams have to reach the venue by 10: 30 am.

GAMES : The boardgames that the participants will compete in will NOT be traditional games like Chess or Scrabble. The games will be selected by us and informed at the time of the tournament only. THE PARTICIPANTS DO NOT NEED ANY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICE TO COMPETE IN THE TOURNAMENT. We will explain the rules of the games during the tournament.

Please note: Apart from the tournament, there will be many other activities during the event which the attendees can participate in. There will be 150+ different board games - strategy games, role playing games, dexterity games, war games that the attendees can take part in. In addition, there will be workshops and other contests that attendees can participate in.

What is the CBGC Tournament format?

The Tournament will have 2 rounds - Elims and Finals

Each round has 3 games

1 strategy game - Teams must nominate one member to participate in this game.

2 team games - All team members must participate in these games.

The elims will start on Sunday, 8th December, 2024 at 11 am.

What boardgames will I be playing at the tournament?

The boardgames that the participants will compete in, will NOT be traditional games like Chess or Scrabble. The games will be selected by the organizers of the CBGC and informed at the time of the tournament only. This is to ensure that all participants have a fair chance at learnings and playing the games.

Do I need to know how to play boardgames to participate?

PARTICIPANTS DO NOT NEED ANY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICE TO COMPETE IN THE TOURNAMENT. Our game masters will explain the rules of the games during the tournament.

What are the participation fees?

INR 8850 (incl. gst) per team of 3 to 4 members. Corporates are permitted to send more than one team.

What events can I enjoy at Meeplecon after the tournament?

Apart from the tournament, there are many other activities during Meeplecon which the attendees can participate in.

There will be 200+ different board games - strategy games, role playing games, dexterity games, war games that the attendees can take part in. In addition, there will be workshops and other contests that attendees can participate in.

Participants of the CGBC do not require a separate pass to take part in these activities.
